History

1920 – Rope production plant

Anton Šinkovec opens a rope & twine production plant, where hemp and flax products are produced.

1923

Automatic rope production plant with stripping & scutching machine and spinning mill, Anton Šinkovec d.d.
The company reinvents itself into a joint-stock company, the sripping & scutching machine is built.

1935 – MOTVOZ in PLATNO d.d.

The company is medernised, with an upgraded starching finishing plant and a dye works plant.

1941

By the year 1941 the company employs already 486 workers. During the second world war it is bombed and burned. After the second world war it is re – built by voluteer workers.

1968

The company has redefine itself, introducing a new production line for synthetic products. In

1968 the first sythetic threads production line is installed, and soon after that a weaving mill.

1990

With the temporary loss of the former Yugoslav market, the company is forced to focus on the foreign markets. Soon it will export a significant part of its production. 

1996 – TEKSTILNA TOVARNA MOTVOZ IN PLATNO d.d., GROSUPLJE

Through the process of privatisation (in accordance with the new privatisation law from 1992), the company becomes once again a joint-stock company.

2000

The company celebrates 80 years of continuous activity. It employs 225 workers.

2007

In the year 2007 the company »Tekstilna tovarna Motvoz in platno d.d., Grosuplje« reinvent itself becoming Motvoz group which associates the following companies: Motvoz d.d., Motvoz plast d.o.o. and Ultrapac d.d.
With the strategic acquisition of Ultrapac, Motvoz group becomes the leading company in the field of films in the wider region.
