Electrostatic Bag
When dealing with fl ammable materials, it is critical to make
use of bags which will not generate electrostatic energy during
transfer or handling, lest we risk igniting the contents. For such
purpose we usually use four different types of electrostatic bags:
• Type A: These bags are made from non-conductive fabric,
without earthing fi bres.
• Type B: Type B bags are made from non-conductive fabric
with antistatic additive, which isolates electrical voltage (in the
direction of contents to the environment) by up to 6 Kv, yet they
are also without earthing fi bres.
• Type C: These bags are made from non-conductive fabric with
individual interconnected conductive fi bers.
• Type D: Type D bags are made from non-conductive fabric with
individual conductive fi bres which are not interconnected.
